Junior Accountant

About the role

A growing international group is looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join its team in Dubai. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting or Finance and has experience in bookkeeping and accounting. You will work closely with the senior team and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable
• Support month-end and year-end closing and the preparation of financial statements
• Assist with UAE VAT returns and Corporate Tax compliance
• Prepare client invoices and monitor collections
• Keep accounting records and supporting documents organised for audits and regulatory reviews
• Work with the legal and onboarding teams on client entity matters across multiple jurisdictions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; ACCA/CMA (ongoing) is a plus
• 2 years of experience in accounting, audit or bookkeeping
• English C1 level, written and spoken (mandatory)
• Detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in fintech and digital assets is an advantage

Required skills

• Solid understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax is a strong plus
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Zoho Books)
