Junior Urban Designer – Dubai

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented Junior Urban Designer to join its Dubai team. You will contribute to a variety of urban development projects that shape the future of cities, working under the guidance of experienced planners and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing urban planning studies and developing master plans at local, regional, and strategic levels.
• Create graphics for master‑plan outputs, including diagrams, collages, and sketches.
• Perform professional planning and urban design tasks, research, and analysis under supervision.
• Support the production of high‑quality plans, reports, and presentations with technical inputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or a closely related field.
• Minimum 1 + year of experience producing conceptual designs and illustrative layouts.
• Strong creative thinking and solid understanding of current best practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling software such as Rhino and SketchUp.
