Key Account Manager – UAE & Kuwait (Rapid Diagnostics)

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Key Account Manager to lead strategic healthcare accounts for its Rapid Diagnostics – Infectious Diseases division in the UAE and Kuwait. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market penetration, and strengthening customer relationships across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
• Develop and maintain long‑term partnerships with hospitals, laboratories, government procurement agencies and healthcare networks.
• Collaborate with clinicians, laboratory leaders, emergency departments and infection‑control teams to improve diagnostic workflows.
• Use business intelligence and sales analytics to identify opportunities and optimise account performance.
• Design customer‑centric solutions, including integrated workflow offerings and value‑based diagnostic approaches.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of diagnostic sales experience in the UAE market; experience in Kuwait is a plus.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue quotas.
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems, patient pathways, reimbursement environments and tender processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and consultative selling abilities.

Required skills

• Experience in Point‑of‑Care Testing, Infectious Diseases or Laboratory Solutions.
