Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures that all kitchen assets across Americana’s restaurants, offices and commissaries in the UAE are kept in optimal condition. The role combines reactive troubleshooting, planned preventive maintenance and corrective actions for a wide range of kitchen and building services equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to reactive complaints and preventive maintenance requests within SLA timeframes (4, 12, 72 hours).
• Gather required spare parts within 24 hours and ensure work meets Americana standards.
• Monitor and coordinate purchase order jobs with malls, brands and external vendors.
• Perform or supervise planned preventive maintenance for kitchen equipment and MEP systems.
• Conduct monthly store inspections and corrective maintenance visits.
• Reduce reliance on external vendors by repairing equipment in‑house whenever possible.
• Advise supervisors on major repairs, changes and cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma (preferred) or equivalent technical education.
• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience maintaining kitchen equipment in a commercial QSR or hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE market parts availability, authority regulations and landlord requirements.
• Ability to work independently across multiple locations and coordinate with external vendors.

Required skills

• Maintenance of fryers, ovens, broilers, grills, refrigerators, dishwashers and ventilation systems.
• MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) troubleshooting.
• Fire protection system monitoring.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Spare parts management and cost‑control.
