Kitchen Steward – Abu Dhabi Edition Hotel

About the role

The Abu Dhabi EDITION is seeking a reliable Kitchen Steward to support the smooth operation of its food‑and‑beverage outlets. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils and equipment are ready for service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and store kitchen tools, knives, silverware and other equipment using the 3‑compartment sink and approved chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas.
• Inspect, pull and stack cleaned items; re‑scrub any items that do not meet standards.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty trashcans, manage dumpster areas and recycle cardboard and glass.
• Clean and mop all assigned kitchen and store‑room areas, following safety and sanitation policies.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions to the manager and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• No formal education or prior experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and to reach overhead or bend low.
• Clear, professional communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Dishwashing equipment operation.
• Sanitation and chemical handling procedures.
• Stock rotation and proper storage of perishables.
