Kitchen Steward

About the role

The Kitchen Steward supports the smooth operation of hotel food‑and‑beverage areas by ensuring all kitchen, dining, and laundry equipment and utensils are clean and ready for use. This full‑time, on‑site position is essential to maintaining the high standards of hospitality expected at Marriott properties.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and kitchenware using dishwashing machines and hand‑wash stations.
• Operate and maintain linen washers, dryers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Transport dishware, utensils, and linens between kitchen, dining, and laundry areas.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and uphold quality standards.
• Assist with other cleaning tasks across hotel departments as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Comfort standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods.
• Capability to reach overhead, bend, twist, and stoop safely.
• Commitment to professional appearance, punctuality, and teamwork.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
• Use of hand‑wash stations and linen cleaning equipment.
