About the role
The Laundry Attendant ensures that all hotel linens and guest garments are cleaned, inspected and returned to service efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machines, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
- Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot‑treatment, rewash or discard.
- Inspect cleaned articles, fold them to required sizes (by hand or using a folding machine) and place them in linen carts.
- Maintain accurate records of all laundered items and ensure equipment is cleaned after each load.
Required profile
- Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality and protect company assets.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, navigate narrow or elevated spaces and work on sloping or slippery surfaces.
Required skills
- Operation of commercial laundry equipment.
- Handling of laundry chemicals safely.
