Lead IT Business Analyst – Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Lead IT Business Analyst to drive finance‑focused analysis and solution delivery across the organisation. Reporting to senior IT leadership, you will shape the Business Analysis function, mentor a team of analysts, and ensure finance processes are optimised through technology.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor demand, solution requests and project progress, handling escalations related to Business Analysis.
• Define team structure, hire and onboard Business Analysts, and allocate resources to match talent with project needs.
• Set performance objectives, KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews for the BA team.
• Establish and enforce Business Analysis standards, methodologies, tools and certification requirements.
• Engage with Business and IT stakeholders to translate changing priorities into new processes and technology solutions.
• Contribute to company‑wide IT strategy planning and maturity.
• Lead cost‑benefit analysis, feasibility studies, business case development and risk assessments for technology projects.
• Translate business requirements into detailed project specifications and functional designs.
• Lead the finance functional stream, defining and automating sales‑and‑finance reconciliation processes.
• Produce and maintain solution documentation, including blueprints, functional designs, process workbooks and configuration records.
• Review existing systems, design enhancements, and oversee testing, implementation and post‑go‑live support.
• Manage business user training, solution adoption and transition to operations for ongoing support.
• Identify improvement opportunities through detailed analysis of business and system structures.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading Business Analysis teams, preferably within a finance context.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to align business priorities and technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to define standards, KPIs and performance metrics for analysis functions.
• Experience in designing, documenting and delivering finance‑related IT solutions.
