Lead Quality Assurance Engineer (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join its Product Engineering team in Dubai. You will be responsible for establishing and advancing quality engineering practices across multiple agile release trains, ensuring that the airline’s critical applications meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement quality engineering processes for one or more agile release trains.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and software engineers to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into comprehensive end‑to‑end test scenarios.
• Configure test tools and collect metrics for program‑wide dashboards.
• Guide software engineers in creating and maintaining automated functional tests within continuous integration pipelines.
• Implement, maintain and evolve automation frameworks and test harnesses to ensure robust testing.
• Ensure quality gate criteria are understood and met by the team.
• Support the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer in coordinating large‑scale delivery initiatives across domains.
• Assist team members in developing their technical skills and understanding of QA methodologies.
