Lecturer – Business (Tourism Management)

About the role

Higher Colleges of Technology is seeking a full‑time faculty member for the Business Faculty, specializing in Tourism Management. The role involves delivering instruction to second‑language learners, contributing to academic and community activities, and supporting the institution’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver tourism management courses using practical, applied approaches, integrating educational technology and providing continuous feedback.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, develop and preserve faculty policies, and engage in applied research aligned with national innovation priorities.
• Advise and mentor students, monitor their progress, support internships, and serve on various committees and student groups.
• Maintain teaching facilities, prepare course assessment files, contribute to curriculum revision, and ensure quality assurance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience; alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience and certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline and preferably 3 years of industry experience, with experience in curriculum development and educational technology integration.
