Lecturer / Senior Lecturer & Discipline Lead – IT

About the role

Murdoch University Dubai is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) who will also serve as Discipline Lead for the Information Technology portfolio. The role combines high‑quality teaching, research or creative practice, industry engagement, and strategic leadership of the IT discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate IT courses with excellence.
• Lead curriculum development, accreditation alignment and innovation for the IT portfolio.
• Allocate 20% of workload to discipline leadership, supporting growth and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Dubai and Perth on program delivery and research initiatives.
• Engage with industry partners to enhance student outcomes and employability.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD) in Information Technology or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in tertiary teaching, assessment and curriculum delivery.
• Research or creative practice appropriate to the academic level.
• Demonstrated academic leadership or coordination experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
