Legal Consultant – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Our client, a leading consultancy, seeks a Legal Consultant to work on‑site with a key client for a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on navigating UAE legal and regulatory frameworks, especially within the government sector.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse legislative and policy documents, assess legal impact and interpret regulatory requirements.
• Draft, review and provide opinions on laws, regulations, policies and related legal documents.
• Engage with government entities, legal departments and regulators to ensure compliance.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into business and operational processes, including data governance, privacy and information‑sharing rules.
• Support digital transformation, public‑sector or regulatory‑modernisation programmes, including AI‑related legal solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in legal and regulatory work, preferably within the UAE or government sector.
• Strong knowledge of legal theory, cross‑domain legal concepts and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and policy implementation.
• Optional experience with government programmes or regulatory authorities; Arabic language skills are a plus.
