Legal Counsel (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel who is fluent in Arabic and English to join a fast‑growing technology‑focused organisation in Dubai. The role will involve providing legal and compliance support across commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory matters, intellectual property and risk management, working closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as NDAs, supplier contracts, technology and service agreements.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, employment, procurement and operational matters.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations and corporate governance requirements.
• Advise on intellectual property, technology licensing, data protection and cybersecurity legal issues.
• Support international transactions, government tenders and procurement activities.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, internal controls and risk‑management frameworks.
• Assist with regulatory audits, investigations and third‑party due diligence.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT Security, Procurement and Operations to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Liaise with external legal counsel when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
• Significant UAE‑based legal experience with strong knowledge of UAE commercial, corporate and regulatory law.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
• Experience in corporate governance, compliance and risk management, preferably within technology, IT, telecommunications, cybersecurity or cloud services environments.
• Familiarity with data protection, information security and related compliance standards is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to work independently and provide commercially focused legal advice.
