Legal Counsel – Courts

About the role

The ADGM Courts are the common‑law courts of Abu Dhabi’s International Financial Centre. As a Legal Counsel you will support judges, the Registrar and senior legal staff in managing civil and commercial claims, ensuring efficient and timely case handling.

Key responsibilities

• Review parties’ claim forms and filings and assist in case management.
• Draft court documents, correspondence and procedural manuals autonomously, escalating complex items for supervision.
• Conduct legal research, prepare judgment summaries, memoranda and stakeholder presentations.
• Provide procedural guidance to lawyers, government agencies and the public.
• Support the enhancement of electronic court services and propose process improvements.
• Monitor local and international legislative developments and contribute to policy updates.
• Assist in drafting and implementing changes to court regulations, policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of ADGM Courts legislation, practices and procedures across all divisions.
• Excellent analytical skills for reviewing claims and related documents.
• Ability to draft clear, accurate legal documents with minimal supervision.
• Proven research capability and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement of court systems and processes.
