Legal Counsel – Litigation Support (UAE National Only)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to support the Litigation Managers of our Legal & Recovery Department. The role focuses on handling litigation matters involving non‑performing borrowers in the bank’s commercial portfolio and defending the bank and its group companies against legal actions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Litigation Managers in managing and addressing litigation cases related to non‑performing borrowers and claims filed against the bank or its group entities.
• Conduct legal research and analysis of applicable UAE civil and commercial law.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure timely case progression.
• Monitor case status, maintain accurate case files, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Ensure that the bank’s interests are fully protected throughout the litigation process.

Required profile

• UAE national with a law degree and a valid license to practice in the UAE.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in banking or commercial litigation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills in English and Arabic.
