Lifeguard – Resort Swimming Pool

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and self‑motivated Lifeguard to join our recreation team at a premier resort in Fujairah. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests in the swimming area while delivering excellent guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities, caution swimmers about unsafe areas, and rescue anyone in danger of drowning.
• Administer first aid and provide emergency care until medical services arrive.
• Maintain pool order, cleanliness, and equipment, including sun loungers, umbrellas, and pool deck.
• Test and record chlorine and pH levels using a water‑testing kit and ensure temperature standards are met.
• Conduct or officiate swimming meets and give swimming instructions as needed.
• Keep the pool environment clean, free of debris, and ensure all safety equipment is properly positioned.

Required profile

• Professional swimmer with a qualified lifeguard certification.
• Diploma or university degree and prior experience, preferably in the hotel or resort industry.
• Physically fit, able to work long outdoor hours, and possess good English communication skills.
• Customer‑focused, positive attitude, and able to work effectively in a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Water testing (chlorine and pH measurement).
• First aid and emergency response.
