About the role
The Lobby Hostess creates the first impression for guests arriving at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort. This role welcomes visitors, answers inquiries and promotes the resort’s amenities, ensuring a memorable and efficient arrival experience.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests proactively in the lobby, identify their needs and provide appropriate assistance.
- Manage lobby traffic flow and queuing systems to minimise wait times.
- Promote premium rooms, suites and resort amenities, identifying sales opportunities.
- Handle guest concerns using service recovery protocols and ensure resolution.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of groups, events, outlets and general resort information.
- Use tablet devices to perform transactions and showcase products or services.
Required profile
- Minimum high school education.
- 1‑2 years experience in a similar role at a five‑star hotel.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and attention to detail.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work well in a team.
