Lobby Lounge Barista

About the role

The Lobby Lounge Barista is responsible for delivering high‑quality coffee service in the hotel lounge, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This role involves both front‑of‑house service and back‑of‑house preparation, working closely with the hospitality team to maintain smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the lounge.
• Record all orders and transactions in the MICROS POS system accurately.
• Handle cash, prepare bank drops, reconcile registers, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Complete daily MICROS reports and other closing documentation.
• Provide courteous service to guests, answer telephone inquiries, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any incidents promptly.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold uniform standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in hospitality or barista service.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
• Cash handling and bank reconciliation abilities.
• Basic computer operation for order entry and reporting.
