Local Business Unit Controller

About the role

The Local Business Unit Controller will act as the finance partner for the Domestic Sales Unit Project Managers in the UAE market. You will own all financial, commercial and tax aspects of the project portfolio, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tender financial reviews, cash‑flow modelling and tax assessments in collaboration with the Tender Manager.
• Prepare and maintain the Project Financial Execution Plan, covering revenue recognition, billing, payment securities and VAT.
• Ensure the correctness of project balance sheets, income statements, cash‑flow forecasts and monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Drive monthly project reviews, governance processes and risk mitigation actions alongside Project Managers.
• Deliver timely financial closures, forecasts, budgets and analytical reports, monitoring KPIs and FX impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance; professional accounting qualification is a plus.
• Proven experience in finance within project‑oriented businesses, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP financial modules.
• Solid knowledge of project finance, commercial contracts and tax regulations.
