Logistics Director

About the role

The Logistics Director is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s logistics strategy across transportation, warehousing, distribution and delivery. The role focuses on improving efficiency, controlling costs, and enhancing service quality while ensuring seamless supply‑chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies and procedures.
• Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution and delivery operations.
• Monitor logistics costs, KPIs, service levels and overall operational performance.
• Manage routes, schedules, fleet, shipments and delivery activities.
• Direct warehouse operations, inventory movement and storage.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers, carriers, suppliers and service partners.
• Negotiate transportation rates, contracts and service agreements.
• Identify cost‑saving and operational‑efficiency opportunities.
• Monitor shipment schedules, delivery performance and service quality.
• Identify and mitigate logistics risks, delays and disruptions.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, finance, operations and supply‑chain teams.
• Ensure compliance with customs, transportation, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage logistics budgets, forecasts, expenses and cost controls.
• Prepare logistics reports, performance analyses and management recommendations.
• Lead and develop logistics teams while driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Extensive experience in logistics management and senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, distribution and inventory operations.
• Proven experience managing logistics providers, carriers, suppliers and contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, commercial and cost‑control capabilities.
• Familiarity with KPIs, route planning, fleet, shipments and delivery management.
• Knowledge of customs, import/export, transportation and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of UAE/GCC logistics practices is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and operational challenges.
