Maintenance Engineer – Plant Automation & Mechanical Lead

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will lead a team of shift technicians to keep plant automation, electrical systems, and heavy mechanical equipment operating safely and at peak efficiency. This position is based in Ras Al Khaimah and focuses on a cement/dry‑mix/ready‑mix production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC software to resolve automation line stops.
• Monitor and control high‑voltage power supply panels, transformers and substations.
• Perform regular inspections and cleaning of power‑grid infrastructure.
• Assemble and dress industrial electric panels with professional cable management.
• Repair heavy‑duty mixers, mechanical seals, fluid couplings and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot gearboxes, motors, bucket elevators, screw and belt conveyors, and bearing systems.
• Manage automated bagging machines and multi‑axis ABB robotic packaging arms.
• Schedule, train and supervise shift technicians on fast, safe repair methods.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Lead Maintenance Engineer or team head.
• Background in cement, dry‑mix or ready‑mix plant operations is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering.
