About the role
The Manager of Material Management will lead procurement and material flow for our automotive division, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing and seamless supply to production.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily procurement activities, including purchase order creation, supplier communication and on‑time delivery.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, manage budgets, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse and finance to optimise material flow and avoid over‑stocking or shortages.
- Negotiate contracts, evaluate suppliers, conduct audits and monitor performance against quality, cost and delivery targets.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, cost savings and supplier performance.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in material management, procurement or supply‑chain functions.
- 3‑5 years of supervisory experience is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent; professional certifications (CPSM, CPP, CPIM) a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency with SAP.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
