Manager Network Operations

About the role

The Manager Network Operations is responsible for the efficient daily management of the Network Operations Centre at Etihad’s Abu Dhabi hub. This role oversees key decisions, formulates solutions to complex operational issues, and ensures safety, security and regulatory compliance across ground, catering, cargo, ATC and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of all teams within the Network Operations Centre to maintain real‑time visibility of the airline’s operations.
• Act as the primary escalation point for stakeholders, handling operational events with a focus on safety, guest welfare and cost‑effective solutions.
• Develop, review and publish operational evaluations, daily risk briefings, event logs and contingency plans.
• Respond swiftly to unforeseen incidents, trigger the Incident Management System and activate disruption recovery and emergency response programmes.
• Ensure adherence to Etihad Operations Manuals, GCAA regulations and the company Safety Management System.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education.
• Minimum 8 years of airline operations experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a hub‑based airline.
• Proven ability to manage safety and security risks in line with an Emergency Response Plan and Safety Management System.
• Experience overseeing multi‑disciplinary teams such as ground handling, catering, cargo, ATC and related services.
