Manager - Public Area

About the role

The Wynn Al Marjan Island resort is preparing to open in 2027 and seeks a Manager – Public Area to lead the housekeeping public area team. This role ensures that all public spaces meet the resort’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all colleagues in the public area department, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
• Conduct regular inspections of public areas, tools, and equipment to verify compliance with resort standards.
• Plan and manage deep‑cleaning schedules and special tasks to maintain resort‑level appearance.
• Report upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment to the Director of Housekeeping.
• Ensure team members are in proper uniform, on time, and well‑groomed according to company policy.
• Attend daily briefings, champion company values, and support the CES and Forbes 5‑Star classification goals.
• Manage departmental rosters, vacation schedules, and recruitment assistance with HR.
• Document projects such as purchase orders, delivery notes, meetings, and training sessions.
• Utilise productivity measurement tools (time and motion) to eliminate redundancy.

Required profile

• Minimum of 24 months experience in hotel or resort public area management.
• Proven ability to lead a team, enforce standards, and communicate effectively with supervisors and staff.
• Strong organisational skills for scheduling, recruitment, and documentation.
• Commitment to punctuality, proper grooming, and adherence to uniform policies.
