Manager - Rehabilitation Services

About the role

NMC Healthcare is hiring a Manager for its Outpatient Rehabilitation Services in Abu Dhabi. The manager provides direction, instruction and leadership to physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists so that department goals are achieved, and works with the Senior Manager of Rehabilitation Services on appraisals and training.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the therapy team, including recruitment support, supervision, appraisal, career development, attendance and competencies
• Ensure the team completes client records, service reports and administrative paperwork accurately and on time
• Provide training and professional development, and monitor referrals, insurance requests, assessments, interventions, discharges and record keeping
• Develop and maintain KPIs, estimate needs for facilities, supplies and equipment, and prepare budget estimates with the Senior Manager and Director of Rehabilitation
• Manage inventory and stock, keep detailed records, and ensure equipment is maintained and reported to Biomed
• Contribute to quality improvement and safety activities, handle adverse incidents and complaints, and ensure staff comply with health and safety legislation
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, set up team meetings, and hold regular team-building activities
• Stay current with new technologies and evidence-based practice, and refer patients to other professionals when needed
