Managing Director – International Automotive Trading

About the role

The Managing Director will lead Zurbagun Auto’s full spectrum of operations, business development, commercial strategy, and organisational growth. Reporting directly to the shareholders, this executive will build the operational framework, forge strategic partnerships, and drive profitability for the startup’s ambitious international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and build Zurbagun Auto’s business operations from inception.
• Develop and execute the strategic business plan and long‑term growth strategy.
• Set up operational processes, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Recruit, organise and lead the senior management team.
• Develop strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, exporters, dealers and fleet operators worldwide.
• Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers, buyers and strategic partners.
• Oversee procurement, international sales, logistics, import/export, customs clearance, finance and administration.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international trade requirements.
• Identify new market opportunities and expand into additional international markets.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts and performance targets.
• Represent the company at automotive exhibitions, trade fairs and industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Automotive Management or a related field.
• MBA or Master’s degree highly preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years of senior management experience in international automotive trading.
• Proven track record of setting up and scaling vehicle sourcing businesses, especially from China and Europe.
• Demonstrated ability to build operational frameworks, recruit teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
