Manufacturing Engineer (UAE National)

About the role

A Manufacturing Engineer position based in Dubai, open to UAE nationals. The engineer measures, analyzes, plans and controls plant processes through standard operating procedures and improvement projects, and supports machinery commissioning, maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Define standard operating procedures, run process trials and improvement projects to raise productivity, quality and process capability
• Prepare machinery commissioning reports and generate a monthly management report on outputs, quality faults, safety and 5S status
• Plan and assess requirements for new machinery and equipment, and prepare and review machine operating instructions and process specifications in line with QEMS and ISO standards
• Conduct plant process audits, follow up machinery performance issues with vendors, and help identify quality deviations and their root causes
• Select and inspect new plant equipment, assist vendors in commissioning, refurbishment, repair or upgrades, and study process problems with process engineers
• Run process trials on raw materials, new products or new methods, and give input to NPD and the technical team on manufacturing feasibility
• Maintain SAP PP master data and validate new materials for costing, audit shop-floor SAP data entry, and monitor cable scrap to reduce costs

Required profile

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in process, production and industrial engineering in manufacturing, preferably in an ERP environment using SAP as an advanced user
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Good knowledge of statistical software such as Minitab
• Green Belt in Six Sigma and exposure to Kaizen, process re-engineering and Lean Manufacturing
