Material Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Material Controller to manage material handling processes, ensuring effective receipt, inspection, storage, issuance and reconciliation of project and non‑project materials. The role supports efficient store operations in compliance with company policies and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle material receipt, inspection, storing, preserving, issuing and reconciliation for project and non‑project items.
• Ensure store functions follow company policies, procedures and HSE standards.
• Receive materials and verify correct off‑loading locations.
• Inspect materials against specifications, test certificates and report any non‑conformance.
• Apply identification marks and supervise stacking, binning and preservation per vendor and client specifications.
• Forward documentation for entry into the ERP system.
• Arrange materials for QC and client inspection as required.
• Process approved demand vouchers and dispatch materials.
• Inspect returned materials and reconcile records.
• Prepare reports as needed and conduct regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Use proper tools, protective equipment and report workplace hazards.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate with a discipline‑specific technical qualification and at least 5 years of related experience in similar industries.
• Diploma in a related discipline with at least 3 years of related experience in similar industries.
