Material Engineer

About the role

The Material Engineer will manage material submittals, sample approvals and testing coordination for landscaping, irrigation, hardscape and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit material submittals, reviewing technical data sheets, certificates and warranties for accuracy.
• Coordinate material sample preparation, mock‑ups and approvals with suppliers and consultants.
• Arrange and monitor material testing, review test reports and maintain testing records.
• Verify compliance of proposed materials with project specifications, standards and authority requirements.
• Liaise with procurement, suppliers and project teams to track approval status and resolve consultant comments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Materials, Landscape, Agricultural Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in material engineering, QA/QC or construction materials management.
• 2–3 years experience handling material submittals, sample submissions and testing coordination.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with document control and material tracking systems.
• Ability to review technical data sheets, certificates and laboratory reports.
