Mechanic – Coiled Tubing

About the role

The Mechanic – Coiled Tubing is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing rotating equipment and machinery used in drilling operations. The role involves routine, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive and predictive maintenance checks on rotating equipment according to schedules and check‑lists.
• Dismantle, assemble and replace components to carry out corrective maintenance on defective equipment.
• Conduct start‑up tests, performance monitoring and report any out‑of‑tolerance readings.
• Install new equipment, modify existing systems and assist during start‑up and shutdown of critical plant units.
• Participate in annual shutdowns, major turnarounds and coordinate removal of large sub‑assemblies for workshop overhaul.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or secondary school certificate with a vocational trade qualification in a relevant mechanical field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy‑equipment mechanical repairs within the oil & gas or power‑plant sector.
• Ability to work in A/C‑conditioned environments and occasional outdoor site visits in hot, humid or dusty conditions.
