Mechanic Foreman – Heavy Earthmoving & Crane Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic Foreman to lead the maintenance, repair and planned servicing of heavy earth‑moving equipment and mobile cranes supporting dredging and marine infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders and mobile/crawler cranes according to OEM intervals.
• Supervise corrective repairs including engine overhauls, hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, undercarriage replacements and crane structural or wire‑rope inspections.
• Lead a team of technicians, conduct toolbox talks, allocate daily tasks and enforce PTW/LOTO and PPE compliance.
• Identify skills gaps and provide on‑the‑job training in hydraulics, crane inspection, load‑chart reading and equipment diagnostics.
• Raise material requisitions for spare parts and PM kits, coordinate with procurement to minimise downtime and maintain minimum stock levels.
• Submit daily equipment status reports and weekly PM compliance reports to the Workshop Superintendent.
• Maintain crane inspection registers and ensure third‑party load‑test certificates are current per UAE and NMDC requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience on heavy earth‑moving equipment and/or mobile cranes.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, undercarriage components and crane structural inspection.
• Ability to read OEM service manuals, hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams.
