Mechanical Draftsman – AutoCAD Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsman to produce accurate 2‑D technical drawings for mechanical systems in Ras Al Khaimah. The role supports engineering and site teams by delivering detailed layouts for HVAC, piping, equipment, and other mechanical services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2‑D mechanical, shop and detailed layout drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop general arrangement, fabrication, installation and as‑built drawings for HVAC, piping, ductwork and mechanical services.
• Interpret engineering specifications, calculations and coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and fire‑fighting disciplines.
• Produce sections, elevations, detail and connection drawings and update them based on site conditions and client comments.
• Conduct drawing checks to verify dimensions, levels, materials and technical details.
• Assist engineers and site teams with technical drawing queries and construction requirements.
• Prepare material take‑off and quantity details when required.
• Maintain drawing numbering, revision control and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and authority requirements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and mechanical drafting.
• Understanding of HVAC, piping, mechanical equipment and MEP coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with construction and installation practices.
• Familiarity with clash resolution; experience with Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.
