Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Artelia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for aviation‑related projects such as airport terminals, MRO hangars and control towers in Dubai. The role covers the full design lifecycle from concept through construction and commissioning while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineering of plumbing and compressed air systems, including calculations and Building Management System integration.
• Manage permitting and approvals with local authorities, securing NOCs and permits.
• Lead BIM modeling, clash detection and coordination using Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of mechanical design experience on UAE/GCC aviation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering recognized by MOE; UAE Society of Engineers membership preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements (DM, DCD, DEWA, etc.) and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Mechanical design and engineering calculations (flow rates, pressure heads, pipe sizing).
• Plumbing and compressed air system design, HVAC design experience.
• Controls, sequences of operation and Building Management System integration.
• BIM modeling, clash detection and coordination using Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC.
