Mechanical Engineer - Site

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team on site in Dubai. The role involves inspecting and monitoring mechanical works, ensuring installations comply with drawings, specifications and relevant codes throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor mechanical installations such as HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, firefighting and pump systems.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and inspection requests.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to resolve site issues and ensure quality and progress.
• Witness testing, commissioning and final handover activities, identifying defects and following up corrective actions.
• Perform mechanical engineering calculations and design HVAC, chilled water, ventilation and smoke management systems.

Required profile

• Qualified graduate in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree or Chartered status is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering consultancy with substantial site exposure.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC codes, standards and regulations for mechanical and building services.
