Medical Representative – Pharmaceutical Sales

About the role

MetroMed is seeking a Medical Representative to promote its pharmaceutical portfolio within the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain private market. The role involves building relationships with physicians, hospitals and clinics to generate prescriptions and achieve sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute call plans, delivering effective sales calls to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide accurate, company‑approved product information and conduct market research, physician focus groups and patient profiling.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of physician contacts, clinic visits, orders and follow‑up actions.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing and new product launches to inform sales strategy.
• Identify and establish new accounts while servicing existing ones, managing product ordering and availability.
• Prepare and adapt sales presentations based on the type of outlet or trade factor.
• Submit regular activity reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly territory analyses.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage assigned products and meet or exceed sales objectives.
• Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical market in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
• Excellent record‑keeping and reporting skills.
• Capability to conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building with healthcare professionals.
