MYP Individuals and Societies Teacher – Full‑Time

About the role

American Gulf School is expanding its Middle Years Programme and seeks a motivated MYP Individuals and Societies Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging History and Geography lessons, fostering critical thinking and academic excellence among students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess MYP Individuals and Societies curriculum aligned with IB standards.
• Create innovative, student‑centred learning experiences that encourage inquiry.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate records, contribute to school-wide initiatives and uphold safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in History or Geography (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an international or IB setting.
• Strong ability to engage with staff, students and parents.
• Excellent command of English.

Required skills

• Curriculum design and delivery for MYP Individuals and Societies.
• Assessment and feedback techniques.
• Classroom management and student engagement.
