Network Engineer

About the role

BlackStone eIT is looking for a Network Engineer in Ajman to operate and support the entity's network and connectivity services, including local and wide-area networks, routing, switching, wireless, firewalls and secure connectivity. The role also provides onsite coordination for physical dependencies, service providers and critical network incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Administer LAN, WAN, routing, switching, wireless, VPN and network-security components within the approved scope.
• Monitor network health, capacity and availability and respond to alerts, incidents and performance degradation.
• Troubleshoot connectivity across offices, data centres, hosted environments and approved external services.
• Coordinate approved changes with the entity, telecom providers, TDRA and other relevant parties.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP plans, configuration baselines, inventories, backups and operational runbooks.
• Support firewall-rule, segmentation and secure-connectivity activities with cybersecurity.
• Contribute to resilience, capacity, failover and disaster-recovery testing.
• Participate in agreed on-call coverage for critical network incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Preferred: previous experience supporting UAE government or multi-site environments.
• Preferred: working knowledge of TDRA connectivity, hosting and approval processes.
• Preferred: experience coordinating with telecom providers and federal/shared infrastructure services.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, wireless, VPN, firewalls and network monitoring.
• CCNP or equivalent professional-level certification preferred; CCIE is an advantage.
• Preferred: Fortinet, Palo Alto or equivalent security-platform experience.
• Strong incident troubleshooting and technical documentation capability.
