New Product Development Manager - Pizza Expertise

About the role

The New Product Development (NPD) Manager leads end‑to‑end creation of new pizza items and menu improvements, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, consumer insights, operational feasibility, food safety, and commercial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full NPD lifecycle: concept, feasibility, development, testing, launch and post‑launch evaluation.
• Develop new menu items, limited‑time offers and product renovations that meet brand and business objectives.
• Translate consumer insights and market trends into scalable product concepts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Assurance, Finance, franchisor and external suppliers.
• Coordinate product trials, kitchen tests, sensory and consumer evaluations.
• Build business cases with costings, margins and pricing recommendations.
• Monitor product performance and recommend optimisations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Manage multiple short‑timeline projects, budgets and senior stakeholder updates.

Required skills

• Pizza product development expertise, including dough‑making, seasonings, sauces, toppings and meat toppings.
• Project management of multiple concurrent NPD projects.
