Offshore Shipbroker – Chartering & Projects

About the role

We are looking for an Offshore Shipbroker to independently run commercial projects and manage a client portfolio, sourcing, negotiating and closing charter contracts and sale & purchase deals for offshore support and project vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a personal portfolio of charterers, vessel owners and S&P clients.
• Match client demand with vessel availability (spot, short‑term and project‑based).
• Source, negotiate and conclude towage, charter, transport and sale‑and‑purchase deals across core markets.
• Build and maintain a strong global commercial network and lasting, trust‑based client relationships.
• Monitor the market and proactively pursue new commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with the team and management on commercial strategy and business development.
• Help expand MCSI’s position in North‑West Europe and the Middle East (UAE) and identify new global opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in offshore chartering and/or shipbroking (spot, project, transport or S&P).
• Strong knowledge of vessel markets in offshore Oil & Gas and Renewables.
• Proven track record with OSVs/AHTS, tugs, barges and heavy‑lift vessels.
• Solid knowledge of BIMCO charter parties (TOWCON, TOWHIRE, SUPPLYTIME, HEAVYCON, HEAVYLIFT, SALEFORM).
• Familiarity with maritime law, insurance and contract risk management.
• MICS or FICS qualification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive commercial drive and strong communication skills.
• Fluent English; Dutch and/or Arabic are a plus.
• Eligible to work in the EU (Rotterdam) or the UAE (Dubai) as agreed.
