Oncology Pathway Coordinator

About the role

The Oncology Pathway Coordinator reports to the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer – Acute and Ambulatory Care Services and is responsible for coordinating the specialist multidisciplinary team across the cancer pathway at KCH. The role ensures seamless cooperation between departments, monitors patient progress, and implements timely interventions to improve patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and sequence the clinical pathway for cancer patients at various stages, organizing clinical interventions across multiple directorates.
• Maintain an understanding of each patient’s current and future requirements, taking proactive steps to keep the pathway on track.
• Facilitate MDT meetings for Gastroenterology, Breast, and Oncology clinics, providing administrative support and scheduling patients for discussion.
• Escalate any deviations from the expected pathway to the DCNO according to the escalation policy.
• Collaborate with clinical governance to manage risk, and ensure high‑quality administrative and clerical functions.

Required profile

• UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA) and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Relevant experience within an appropriate service environment within the last three years.
