Operational Key Account Manager – Road Operations

About the role

The Operational Key Account Manager is the primary operational contact for strategic road transportation customers, ensuring service delivery meets expectations and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main operational point of contact for assigned key accounts, building strong relationships and conducting regular reviews.
• Oversee daily transportation activities, coordinating planners, dispatch, drivers and subcontractors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
• Control transportation costs, identify route optimisation and load‑consolidation opportunities, and support budgeting.
• Collaborate with sales, finance, procurement and other stakeholders to support onboarding and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with road transport regulations, safety standards and contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in road transportation, logistics operations or key account management.
• Strong understanding of domestic and cross‑border road freight operations.
• Experience managing strategic customers and transportation service providers.
