Warehouse Operator - Contract Logistics

About the role

The Warehouse Operator supports inbound and outbound operations in a contract logistics environment. The main aim is to make offloading, put-away, picking and packing efficient and timely so customers are satisfied. Work is carried out inside the warehouse and in the open yard depending on the task.

Key responsibilities

• Receive invoices and packing lists for inbound shipments and check that items tally
• Inform the Team Leader of damages, shortages, over-shipments and discrepancies, and file the Materials Discrepancy Note (MDN)
• Segregate items, scan if needed and put them away in the right places; complete manual put-away sheets for Team Leader verification
• Pick items for outbound shipments against the pick list, note details and scan or re-check before loading
• Pack according to specifications and apply labels and stickers as instructed
• Assist the Team Leader with stock checks and cycle counts
• Store food materials and products according to food safety standards and hygiene standards
• Raise issues and opportunities for improvement with the Team Leader and carry out other assigned tasks

Required profile

• High school education
• 1 year of warehouse operation experience preferred
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to understand basic computer equipment such as scanners
