Operator (Utilities) – Plant Operations

About the role

The Operator (Utilities) is responsible for operating and monitoring process plants and related facilities in accordance with ADNOC’s standard operating procedures and HSE standards. The role ensures safe, efficient production while supporting maintenance activities and emergency response when required.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out operational work safely, following SOPs and adjusting speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates as needed.
• Perform routine equipment checks, report defects, and coordinate servicing with supervisors.
• Receive chemicals, maintain stock registers, and prepare chemical batches while adhering to HSE rules.
• Prepare plant and equipment for maintenance, obtain work permits, and monitor contractor activities.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies and contribute to KPI checklists for management.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years of plant operations experience in a large industrial oil and gas facility.
• Ability to work in an A/C environment and occasional exposure to heat, humidity and dust during site visits.
