About the role
The Luxury Collection is seeking a Commis 2 – Pastry to join the culinary team at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort in Ajman, UAE. This full‑time position supports the pastry department by preparing and cooking foods to the highest quality and presentation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop and store food before cooking.
- Use baking and measuring tools and appliances safely to produce baked goods.
- Monitor and report kitchen appliance temperatures and any issues.
- Maintain sanitation by washing, disinfecting the kitchen area and setting up/breaking down work stations.
- Ensure food quality and portion control throughout the shift.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of related pastry or culinary experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Cooking.
- Baking and measuring tools.
- Food safety handling.
