Patient Access Representative (UAE National)

About the role

This role is responsible for the timely and accurate entry of patients' information, scheduling and registration activities, and financial details. It also covers verifying financial eligibility and arranging financial coverage for appointments and admissions, while communicating with patients, families and staff with a high standard of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance, and show strong customer service skills with internal and external customers.
• Perform scheduling, registration and admission activities, gathering demographic, insurance and other information from patients and entering it accurately into HIS.
• Verify financial eligibility and ensure required documents and approvals are completed after scheduling or registration.
• Perform billing, reconciliation and cashier activities.
• Manage a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, following communication scripts and decision trees.
• Complete referrals according to standards and timelines, coordinate clinic controls and use clinic slots efficiently.
• Register patients in HIS, maintain accurate records, and select the correct visit type and follow the proper workflow.
• Inform patients and caregivers of hospital procedures, policies and protocols, and provide insurance eligibility, billing and payment information with a printed receipt.
• Handle patient questions, concerns and issues, attend to patient feedback, and perform general administrative tasks.
• Work different shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays, and accept cross-functional team participation and ongoing training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any relevant field.
• Punctuality and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets.
