Payroll Officer / General Cashier

About the role

SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, a hotel group described as part of a collection of fashion-rooted luxury hotels, is looking for a Paymaster/General Cashier. The role covers payroll processing, reporting and compliance, working closely with the HR department on time and attendance records.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions and overtime in line with company policy and law.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, including year-end reports and tax forms.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, tax regulations and company policies.
• Manage deductions of taxes, social security, pensions and other benefits.
• Answer employee questions about payroll and work with HR to keep time and attendance records accurate.
• Process payroll adjustments such as retroactive pay, bonuses and corrections.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, support internal and external audits, and keep payroll data confidential.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting, preferably in hospitality or the service industry.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills, and good written and verbal communication.
• Integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll data.
