About the role
Careers International is recruiting a Piping/Welding Inspector in Dubai for the oil and gas sector. The inspector monitors piping and welding activities to ensure they conform to specifications, codes and standards, including SHELL DEP and ADNOC protocols.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect weld joints and piping installations
- Verify WPS, PQR and welder qualifications
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections
- Monitor welding processes and consumables
- Prepare inspection reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with SHELL DEP standards
- Coordinate with third-party and client inspectors
- Support pre-commissioning and final walkdowns
Required profile
- Bachelor's or diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering
- 5+ years of oil and gas inspection experience
- Degree or diploma in welding preferred
- Familiarity with ADNOC and SHELL specifications
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Required skills
- Experience with international codes and standards
- Certified welding inspection (e.g. CSWIP, AWS) is a plus
- Strong documentation and communication skills
