Planning Engineer – Transport Projects

About the role

Zutari is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to join its Transport Unit in Dubai. The role supports project managers and delivery teams in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on transport and infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and interchanges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules, identify slippages, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate updates with design, procurement, utilities, and construction teams to ensure realistic forecasts.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule narratives for internal and client reporting.
• Assist with delay analysis, EOT support, and contractual delay impact assessments, including FIDIC requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of planning and scheduling experience on major transport or infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Experience working in the UAE and familiarity with local authorities such as RTA and Dubai Municipality is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (expert level).
• MS Project.
• Advanced Excel and schedule dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and programme management principles.
• Power BI (optional but advantageous).
