Pool Waiter

About the role

The Abu Dhabi EDITION is looking for a Pool Waiter to serve guests at its pool area. The role covers serving food courses and drinks, setting tables, communicating with the kitchen and keeping the work area clean.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests and set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Answer questions about menu selections and communicate menu issues, wait times, re-cook orders and product availability to the kitchen.
• Pass on meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order and check in with guests to confirm satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china and glass, and complete closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights.
• Present an accurate check to the guest and process payment.
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and welcome guests professionally while assisting people with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and more with help, and move over uneven or slippery surfaces.
