Pre-Sales Consultant - Open Source Virtualization

About the role

Ingram Micro, a global technology distributor, is hiring a Pre-Sales Consultant for Open Source and Virtualization in Dubai. The consultant helps customers and partners design, position and adopt modern infrastructure solutions, working with sales, vendors and customers across the UAE on virtualization, cloud and open-source technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as technical advisor for Open Source and Virtualization solutions, supporting engagements from discovery through solution design and proposal.
• Collaborate with sales teams, vendors and partners to build scalable infrastructure, virtualization, cloud and automation architectures.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts and solution assessments.
• Help customers understand their current environments and recommend solutions that improve performance, scalability, security and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and help shape go-to-market strategies and enable internal teams.
• Influence technical decisions and support revenue objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a pre-sales, solutions architect, systems engineer or consulting role focused on virtualization, Linux, cloud or open-source technologies.
• Experience designing and presenting complex technical solutions.
• Ability to manage technical projects independently and influence stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in Red Hat, Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware, cloud platforms or related technologies are highly valued.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Red Hat, Ubuntu, SUSE, OpenShift, Kubernetes, VMware, KVM and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure solutions.
